 Silver Streak Senior Services is a senior-friendly online directory and search engine that helps older adults, caregivers, and families find trusted, pre-screened local service providers. We do not provide services ourselves. Instead, we make it easier to discover reputable businesses in your community that have passed a background, license, and insurance verification.

What types of providers can I find in your directory?

You can search for a wide range of local senior-focused providers, including home maintenance vendors, transportation providers, caregiver resources, mobility specialists, senior technology help, healthcare-adjacent services, legal and financial professionals, and more.

Silver Streak does not employ or dispatch caregivers—we simply help you find trusted options in one place.

Are the providers listed on Silver Streak background-checked?

Yes. Every business that appears on our platform must pass a background check, license verification, and insurance review before being listed. This helps seniors and families feel more confident about the people they choose to invite into their home or rely on for support.

Does Silver Streak provide or arrange care services?

No. Silver Streak is not a care agency or service provider. We do not staff caregivers, schedule services, or recommend one provider over another.

We are a neutral directory—our job is to make it easier for you to discover safe, verified, local options.

How does Silver Streak select businesses for the directory?

We do not offer placement or matching services at this time. Instead, we provide:

Can Silver Streak help me choose the right provider?

Is Silver Streak available only in Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas?

We have nationally available service providers listed on our site already, however, we currently focus on the Dallas–Fort Worth metro area as our launch region. Silver Streak is expanding across Texas and will add new cities and counties regularly. We expect to go Nationwide in 2026.

Why should I trust businesses on Silver Streak?

 Because we do the pre-screening that most directories don’t. Every business has passed verification steps designed to help seniors avoid scams, unlicensed operators, or unreliable providers.

You can feel more confident choosing from businesses that have already met our standards.

Is Silver Streak a senior care agency?

No. Silver Streak is a search tool, not an agency.

Can I read reviews of providers?

Yes—each business profile includes reviews when available, along with credentials and service details.

How often is the directory updated?

 We update listings regularly and continually verify new providers as they apply.

Are you affiliated with any non-profits?

The founder of Silver Streak Senior Services is also the founder of Silver Streak Senior Solutions, a 501c3 public charity with a full board of directors that helps low-to-moderate income seniors (55+) age in place safely by providing financial assistance for essential home repairs, modifications, food assistance, and other critical needs. Seniors who receive assistance from Silver Streak Senior Solutions are never required to use those funds with the businesses on our website. But they are here if needed.

For Advertisers (Businesses & Providers)

Most of our businesses come as referrals and we use Checkr to perform a criminal background check for every county in the USA.  We also verify licensing and ask for insurance certification if applicable. If they are a driver, we also perform a driving record check. If they are a professionally licensed individual, such as a doctor or attorney, they have had background checks to obtain and renew their license, so we may only check within the current county instead of the entire USA. We do not check major national brands. For example: we would not run a background check on Shaklee, or Blue Cross.

 

Yes, even the national ones. Why? Because we are building and hosting a landing page inside our site which is phenomenal. And our people (not bots) get upset when they can’t buy food or pay rent.

For drivers and unlicensed professionals every year. If they hold a professional license such as a doctor, insurance agent, mobile notary, etc… we repeat background checks only as those licenses expire.

Reports of any violent or fraud related crimes or scams would not be allowed on our site.  While we cannot possibly list every scenario here, our core goal is to maintain the integrity of the site and the safety of our community. If something questionable appears in our background checking we will interview the business again. We will listen to their explanation, look at their track record, the age at time of offense, the seriousness of the offense and consider current client referrals to make our best determination with our members safety always top of mind. We always ask ourselves, would we want them working with our grandparents?

Please allow us 72 hours to get that in the system. There is no prorating so if you cancel on the 15th we would not renew you for the following month. But we would also not refund the remaining month.  If you cancel on the 30th and your cancellation slipped through the cracks, no need to panic, just email us and explain the situation. We are not unreasonable and we truly hope you might be able to come back on the site one day or tell others you had a good experience, so we will get the money back to you ASAP. That means we will reverse the charge, quickly (usually same day) but some banks never seem to move as fast at giving money back as they are about taking it. (Am I right or what?!)

How does the rating system on your platform work?

Great question so glad you asked as we are quite proud of this one.  Only members can rate the providers. So, you are not getting reviews left by bots or paid reviewers. We want you to get real reviews, so you have a good idea of who you are considering hiring. So having this site membership-based helps keep the integrity in our site.

Why do I have to be a member to see the advertising businesses?

It helps us keep the integrity on our site when it comes to comments and reviews. Real people pay, bots don’t…at least not that we’re aware of.

Do I have to be a member to see the community resource pages?

No, you do not, since these are public charities, foundations, government organizations, etc…and we want everyone to have access to them.

That is why our membership fees are so low as well. We really want the people who need the business resources to have access to them.

What if I want to cancel my membership?

Easy peasy! Simply email us at: info@silverstreakseniorservice.com and we will take you out of the system. Poof, Gone! Sorry, no refunds on memberships after 30 days.

Do you provide any sort of guarantee from the products or service providers listed on your site?

Another great question! No, we do not. Think of us like a good friend saying “Hey, we heard this ________(fill in the blank), was really good, maybe you should check them out or give them a call”. We are big advocates for doing your homework and listening to your gut. You will not hurt our feelings if you use someone outside our platform that you prefer, whatever the reason is. ( No one, and I mean no one, is going to beat your son-in-law’s price on a gutter repair!) It’s ok. There is so much else to enjoy on the site. We have amazing writers and researchers looking for the best content for you all the time. And as we grow so will all the amazing things we can do for you.  There are other services and products your son-in-law may not do that you may need one day, and we will be here to connect you with those vetted resources.
