At Silver Streak Senior Services, our mission is to help seniors and caregivers connect with trusted providers and local resources. To sustain this mission, we may feature sponsored listings, advertisements, or educational promotions on our platform, but only from verified vendors and partners who meet our safety and integrity standards.

This Advertisement Policy ensures that all paid or sponsored content is truthful, transparent, and fully compliant with Texas and U.S. advertising laws.

1. Purpose

This policy defines the ethical, operational, and legal standards that govern all advertising and sponsorships on the Silver Streak platform.

It ensures that:

  • Every advertisement comes from a verified, approved vendor or partner.
  • All ads are truthful, not misleading, and relevant to our senior audience.
  • Advertisers comply with the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA) and FTC Endorsement Guidelines.
  • Users can clearly distinguish between editorial content, verified listings, and sponsored placements.

2. Advertising Eligibility

Advertising opportunities are available only to:

  • Verified vendors and partners who have completed the full Silver Streak Vendor Verification process.
  • Community sponsors such as licensed care facilities, professional service providers, or senior-support organizations with verified credentials.

Non-verified businesses, individuals, or third-party ad networks are not eligible for any form of advertising, sponsorship, or promotional placement on the Silver Streak platform.

This ensures that every advertisement reflects the same integrity and safety standards as the providers we recommend.

3. Approved Advertising Formats

Silver Streak allows the following verified advertising formats:

  • Sponsored Listings: Featured or priority placement for verified vendors in the directory.
  • Display or Banner Ads: Static or rotating visuals placed within designated pages.
  • Partner Spotlights / Educational Features: Articles or stories co-created with verified vendors.
  • Sponsored Newsletters or Updates: Emails highlighting verified partners, labeled as sponsored.

All advertising placements are subject to compliance review and pre-approval by Silver Streak.

4. Content & Quality Standards

All advertising and promotional content must:

  • Be truthful, accurate, and evidence-based.
  • Avoid false or misleading claims about results, pricing, or qualifications.
  • Comply with FTC and Texas advertising laws.
  • Be appropriate for a senior audience. No offensive, political, or exploitative content.
  • Use original creative materials or properly licensed assets.
  • Never promote medical, financial, or legal services without verified credentials.

5. Disclosure & Transparency

Silver Streak maintains strict transparency in all advertising:

  • Sponsored or paid placements are clearly labeled as “Sponsored,” “Advertisement,” or “Partner Feature.”
  • Sponsored articles, emails, or videos include visible FTC-compliant disclosures (“#Ad,” “Sponsored by,” or “In Partnership With”).
  • Paid placements never appear as independent editorial recommendations or user reviews.

6. Placement & Display

  • All advertisements are placed in designated areas (homepage, directory highlights, newsletters, etc.).
  • Paid placements do not influence search rankings, user reviews, or star ratings.
  • Verified vendors are displayed based on transparency and community relevance, never “pay-to-win” positioning.

7. Privacy & Data Compliance

Silver Streak adheres to the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA) and federal data-protection standards.

  • We do not sell, share, or disclose personal data to advertisers.
  • Advertising is limited to contextual placements (category, location, service type), not personal targeting.
  • Tracking technologies such as cookies or pixels are not permitted in third-party ads unless explicitly authorized in writing.

8. Review & Approval Process

Before publication, every ad undergoes a three-step compliance review:

  1. Submission: Verified vendors submit creative materials, copy, and disclosure details.
  2. Compliance Review: Silver Streak evaluates for legal accuracy, truthfulness, and alignment with community standards.
  3. Approval: Once approved, the ad is scheduled for publication in agreed placements.

Silver Streak reserves the right to edit or reject any advertisement that fails to meet our ethical or legal standards.

9. Prohibited Advertising Categories

We do not accept advertising related to:

  • Non-verified or unlicensed businesses
  • Adult, alcohol, or tobacco-related products
  • Political or religious campaigns
  • “Miracle cures,” unapproved supplements, or unverifiable health claims
  • Payday loans, debt relief, or high-risk financial products
  • Gambling, weapons, or unsafe items
  • Any business under legal investigation or license suspension

10. Sponsored Content & Partnerships

When Silver Streak collaborates with verified partners on educational content or community programs:

  • The relationship will be disclosed clearly.
  • All information is fact-checked and presented neutrally.
  • The collaboration will never compromise editorial integrity or user trust.

 

11. Advertiser Responsibilities

All verified advertisers must:

  • Maintain an active verification status throughout their campaign.
  • Provide truthful, up-to-date information about their business and services.
  • Notify Silver Streak immediately of any material changes (ownership, license, insurance, etc.).
  • Ensure their claims, testimonials, and guarantees are substantiated by evidence.
  • Comply with all applicable Texas and federal regulations.

Failure to maintain a verified status will result in suspension or removal of active advertisements.

12. Enforcement & Removal

Silver Streak reserves the right to:

  • Refuse or remove advertisements that violate this policy or mislead users.
  • Suspend advertising privileges if a vendor loses verification status.
  • Remove ads immediately in cases of fraud, safety risk, or false representation.

Advertisers will receive notice and, when possible, an opportunity to correct issues before removal.

13. Liability Disclaimer

  • Advertising does not imply endorsement or guarantee by Silver Streak.
  • Silver Streak is not liable for representations made by advertisers.
  • Users are encouraged to verify all claims, pricing, and service details before purchase or engagement.

14. Policy Updates

This policy may be updated periodically to reflect evolving best practices or legal requirements.
 A revised Effective Date will be displayed upon update. Continued participation implies acceptance of any changes.
