Purchasing an hour session with Beth recently was such a gift, on a day when I felt unusually exhausted, overwhelmed, and emotionally worn down as a long-term family caregiver. As the spouse and caregiver of my husband, who has a spinal cord injury and has been battling recurring infections connected to kidney stones for nearly two years, I often feel challenged: physically, mentally, and emotionally. Beth met me with genuine tenderness, compassion, and had a very calming presence. She also hosts and invited me to join her new Facebook group, which helps me feel more connected to her and other family caregivers. While I also feel called to support family caregivers, I recognized that sometimes I too need a qualified caregiver coach. Beth was that person for me this month. And one of the most meaningful parts of our session was simply being witnessed. Beth has an incredible ability to truly listen without rushing, fixing, or minimizing what I was going through. Her compassionate presence reminded me how healing it can be to be deeply heard when you’re struggling. Sometimes being witnessed with kindness is the first step toward finding your footing again. Beth also demonstrated remarkable attentiveness and respect for my comfort level. During our first Zoom session, she used a note-taking app to help organize information and resources for me afterward. When she sensed I felt uncertain about it, she immediately turned it off during our next call without hesitation. That small moment spoke volumes about how observant, responsive, and emotionally intelligent she is as a coach. After our session, Beth thoughtfully followed up with written suggestions and resources tailored specifically to our unique situation. One herbal supplement she recommended was something I had never heard of before and it offered us a renewed sense of hope regarding my husband’s ongoing kidney-related infections, especially after years of surgeries, medical interventions, and dietary changes. I appreciated her resourcefulness, holistic perspective, and obvious passion for helping me and my family to feel supported. Beth is truly a champion for the midlife caregiver, and I can attest to that. She understands that caregiving is not just about caring for someone else; it’s also about helping caregivers in reconnecting with themselves, protecting their energy, and feeling less alone in the process. Her approach to me feels sustainable, grounded, and compassionate. I’m also grateful to my friend Shayna for introducing us. From the very beginning, Beth was proactive, gentle, warm, and thoughtful in both reaching out and following up. I would absolutely recommend her to caregivers who are feeling burned out, depleted, overwhelmed, or simply in need of someone who truly understands the complexity of the caregiving journey.
